From 2019 to 2022, the Tennessee Convict Stockade Project was housed at the University of the South’s Center for Southern Studies and supported by a grant from the Mellon Foundation. This work is now supported by an American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) fellowship.

Additional funding has been provided by the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area (2020-2021), the Spatial Archaeometry Research Collaborations Program [This research was supported by a SPARC Award. The SPARC Program is based at CAST at the University of Arkansas, and is funded by a generous grant from the National Science Foundation (Award #1321443 and #1519660)](2022), the American Philosophical Society (2022), and the Roberson Project on Slavery Race and Reconciliation at the University of the South (2021-2022).
